Built in the 18^th century, the magnificent Zunfthaus zur Saffran, is directly situated at the Limmatquai promenade opposite the Zurich town hall. It still stands, to this day, in its original glory. True to the tradition of the guilds, no expense was spared and the house was sumptuously equipped. Just like in the old days, the Zunfthaus zur Saffran with its beautiful rooms in the heart of Zurich still offers an exceptional setting for special celebrations. The rooms create a unique atmosphere for your cocktail events, birthdays, weddings, business meals, banquets, readings, auctions and many other occasions. Come and explore the historical rooms and learn more about the guild of the spice traders, the Zunft zur Saffran.

The exclusive Zunfthaus zur Saffran is centrally located. With its three halls and the Ratstube, it is the perfect venue for business events, banquets, weddings and other occasions from 20 to 250 guests. Each room comes with stylish furniture, sumptuous table decoration as well as fresh flower arrangements. Let your celebrations be part of the unique atmosphere that inhabits the entire Zunfthaus.

The Zunfthaus zur Saffran treats you and your guests to the finest cuisine with seasonal and regional produce. All our dishes are lovingly prepared and freshly served. Our menu offers classic Zurich style dishes, such as “Züri Gschnätzlets”, traditional Swiss dishes based on the guild culture, and our own culinary creations with Mediterranean flavours, inspired by the famous French master chef Auguste Escoffier. Every single dish is prepared by our team in the kitchen of the Zunfthaus using only our own recipes. Our wine list offers carefully selected wines from Switzerland and Europe. Sustainability is important to us, and for this reason, we do not serve wines from overseas.
